The Lady of the Lake, clad in the purest shimmering samite, held forth Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying, by divine providence, that I, Elvis, was to be King.

So, Palynka said yes, and psycho and darv said no, and then Palynka
PM'd me saying psycho and darv are wrong and stupid and he would
like to kick the crap out of them for denying Elvis' royal status.

And then darvs and psycho PM'd me saying Palynka would fry in hell
for calling king a human being, when the king is up in the sky, and
also how much they would like to putt their foot so deep into
Pal's butt he would end up spitting shoe polish.

So, guys, care to wrestle in mud over Elvis?

Edit. Oh yes, I forgot, rwinget said all of you suck big time.

FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

King Arthur: I am your king.
Woman: Well I didn't vote for you.
King Arthur: You don't vote for kings.
Woman: Well how'd you become king then?
[Angelic music plays... ]
King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king.
Dennis: [interrupting] Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Actually that is what we would all like to think or all wish for, but in reality supreme executive power derives from the masses supporting it for some reason either because they willingly choose to do so or because they are forced to do so. If a farcical aquatic ceremony (or a report thereof) convinces the masses then so be it.

The masses move with the logic of my lemon jell-o, as it starts to melt.
