Are you sure about his information as it is a strange thing for them to do. Islam venerates many of the Old Testament prophets, and indeed Jesus but as a prophet rather than the Messiah, regarding them as a line of prophets culminating in Mohammed. This strikes me as an act against Islam and therefore an own goal.
