In general, of course. It is also a function of internet debate, which rewards speed of response over research.

He is the only one that the bible claims was created by God and conceived in a virgin. He is the "first born"...He had brothers but God did not create seed in Mary in their case. Joseph was the father of Jesus's brothers.
The bible also claims that born again Christians are also sons of God by birth. That is, "seed" is created in them when they are "born again"
I Jn 3:9
9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
(NKJ)
This is talking about the new nature in a Christian or "seed". That part that is born of God cannot sin, Christians who walk according to the flesh still sin. But that is another topic.....

You're making a mountain out of a molehill.
Originally posted by lioyank So how is it that this one man could make such an influence in such a short time?
Consider this: he didn't. It took an awful lot more than 'him' to make the impact we see today. It took a multitude of people over generations to propogate the 'JC as Son of God' myth, starting right around 325 C.E.
In fact, there were centuries of saviour tradition(s) that led to the culmination of this particular version of the saviour myth. JC and Christianity is clearly a syncretic creation...an anthropomorphized worship of the Sun.
