From Mark 10

Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.

Now look at what God said in Deuteronomy 20

However, in the cities of the nations the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes  17 Completely them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the Lord your God has commanded you. 18 Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, against the Lord your God.

Obviously Jesus was aware that God commanded helpless women and children be put to death, but still God is the only one who is good.

Thoughts?

These head-scratchers have been answered decades ago, and the answer is:

The Bible is packed full of contradictions, ambiguities and vagueness. It's basically a collection of many stories by many people from different time periods, and they range from socially and scientifically useful all the way to childishly silly and useless visions from primitive minds.

So what is your opinion about Jesus saying that genocide is good?

I'm not a bible scholar, but can only suggest it's possible that after 2000+ years and multiple translations, the original meaning of the text may have become distorted.

Words describing the explanation for why they died should be consistent with the narrative, so anything representing how God may have "changed" minds in regards to whether actions were committed or not during those events is wrong. Our human understanding wants to put some kind of emotion in place with God viewing man but his vengeance is playing out in continuation.

So your conclusion is that the Bible is full of human error so is inaccurate.

God's vengeance is continued through Jesus himself...
From Matthew 7

Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

After we die God will carry out his final vengeance.

Assuming that he actually said that, he also said 'love thy enemies', which only shows how such a confusing book can be interpreted by someone to promote any sort of agenda they choose.

Now I do remember that Jesus absolutely detested the greedy rich, who are basically sociopaths. And since nearly all human-caused suffering is caused by sociopaths, perhaps he wanted them gone. Who knows.
