@kingdavid403 saidThat pagan "going to heaven" doctrine is as nonsensical as the "burning torment in hell for eternity" doctrine. Both are false and unbiblical and only childish people take comfort in going to heaven.
Exactly. rajk666 clearly has never read a bible.
rajk666 asks:
Tell me where Jesus preached:
- people go to heaven.
[Matthew 7:21 NKJV] 21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven."
Jesus clearly says here that those who do the will of the Father will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Duh...
@sonship saidNot interested in your false version of the Grace of God which enables you to continue a life of sin, evil and unrighteousness and still get eternal life. This doctrine is false and is condemned by Jesus and all the Apostles. You can keep that one to yourself.
@Rajk999
The Bible speaks of people going to heaven. But they seem not to stay in heaven forever.
But that is not the most serious of your problems.
I think you have no understanding of grace in any regard - either the power of grace outwardly or its power within.

It is my pleasure - and we have commonality in the battle that we fight.
That is the nice thing about the way, that you can change.
@medullah saidIf you are equating heaven with what Jesus called paradise then you are wrong. Heaven is the abode of God and the bible was clear that no man goes there. Its a childish view to refer to anywhere out of this world and call it either heaven or hell.
Interesting few posts. Certainly John the Baptist didn’t go to heaven, but I think that heaven was opened up as a possibility after the death of Jesus.
From the bible doctrine the only correct teaching is that the body goes into the grave where it remains until the judgment day and resurrection, to be either rewarded or punished. The soul of man returns to God [not to the abode of God which is heaven], where God places that soul in specific place. From the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus, Jesus seems to be teachings that the soul of sinful people to to a place of torment and the soul of the righteous go to a place of rest. In either case they will both await the reward of eternal life in the Kingdom of God or destruction.
The typical church teaching that Christians go to heaven [dancing on clouds] and others go to hell [and tormented] is utter rubbish as is so much of church Christianity.

And, so can you; or anyone for that matter. Once one comes to Jesus truthfully, one gets a fresh start. 🙂

Agreed; you have to put on the new personality.
Mind you I still have a bit of the old one hanging around; I'm still a bit too fond of the old beverages.

@rajk999 saidWould you not say that this suggests that some go to heaven Raj?

Philippians 3 13-14
13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 3:1
Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.

I also. The first miracle of Jesus when He began His Ministry, was that He turned water into wine at a wedding party; the Bible said He did this after everyone at the party had already had too much to drink. 🙂 That's one of my excuses and I'm sticking to it. lol...
