I learned the importance of "cell groups" or "vital groups" or "small group meetings". These you should open your home for if you can or arrange for a few fellow believers to meet in homes- smaller unites where support in prayer can more take place.
To break away from churches as Rajk999 suggests should not be to be INDEPENDENT, alone, lone ranger like going it all on your own. This trusting of one or two others in a "vital group" requires forgiveness, humbling, mutuality, agape love.
I don't know for sure if the poster is a born again Christian. Regardless, he would do well to seek some small vital group of another or two seekers to pursue the Lord Jesus together.
Being fiercely self righteous like you are the only faithful one left who knows the truth, is not good.
Being truly spiritual involves being spiritual WITH some other people.
@kellyjay saidStart a thread on what you call the Gospel or the power of the gospel. I will show you that I understand it better than you do.
He can speak for himself but reading much of what he has written over the years he strikes me as someone who sees (truthfully) that some without Christ are without a doubt much more moral (humanly speaking, I agree completely too) than some who profess Christ. I don't think he can reconcile that in truth as he sees it, therefore he misses the truth and power of the gospel completely.
-Removed-For as long as I can remember, the thrust of rajk999's posts has been "This is what Jesus says. This is what the apostles say. Follow what Jesus and the apostles say. God will judge." It hasn't been, "Follow my example".
Seems like you and others keep trying to attack him personally since you can't validly refute the scripture that he puts before you. Scripture that you and others purport to believe.
-Removed-I criticize the DOCTRINE OF OTHER CHRISTIANS. I dont know, neither do I care to know about their personal lives, whether or not they are evil or righteous or otherwise. So I dont criticize Christians, rather I criticize their beliefs. Im entitled to do that in a discussion forum about Christian doctrine. Maybe if you were not attached to their false doctrines you would see what I am saying all these years.
As for being a .bloody hypocrite', Im in good company. All of the Apostles preached what Jesus preached about good works and righteousness. Nobody enters the Kingdom of God by professions of faith. Nobody become born again and become sons of God by professions of faith. These things only happen after a lifetime of following Christ, and it happens in the end when Jesus returns. I know you believe otherwise. The doctrine of Christ did not change, neither should it be watered down because Paul, John or Me are not able to follow these commandments. God will judge.
That constant questioning you all do about posters actual deeds and lifestyle show that your conscience is guilty.
-Removed-You really need to educate yourself on logical fallacies. With you it's just one red herring wrapped in a ad hom after another. And one false accusation after another.
But that's what trolls like you do.
Go ahead DG. Give me a shock. Actually address the content of my post at the top of page 1. Actually it'd give me a shock if any Christian on this forum were to actually address the content that post. Thus far it's been one ad hom after another.
@thinkofone saidAfter thinking about this I believe you are right here about this text, and I am wrong.
The fact of the matter is that the original Greek text of the Bible doesn't assign authorship.
Whether or not you believe this doesn't alter this fact.
Once again you're wrong. Once again you lack the maturity and integrity to admit it.
-Removed-Again how many times do I need to answer.
I believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God.
God sent his son to die for the sins of the world.
Those who believe in Jesus Christ will have eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
To believe in Jesus Christ means following Jesus's commandments.
Failure to follow the commandments of Christ means that belief is dead.
