I wonder if humility is the one core attribute of the human condition which transgresses temporal and spiritual states.
Please expand, contract or digress.
Happy weekend.
There are many lessons in humility in the life of Christ. Some churches take the one where Jesus washes the feet of the disciples and practice that in their churches as a demonstration of humility. My favourite one is this:
The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! (Luke 7:34 KJV)

What lesson of humility is in the Luke verse you provided?
I don't understand.

So Jesus is humbling Himself by 'hanging out' with sinners.
Why would He then not allow these sinners into the Kingdom of God?

Because Jesus came to bring sinners to repentance. He hung out with them to help them change from being sinners to being righteous. Those who made this change will enter the kingdom of God.

Vast swathes of "humility" are perhaps simply realism and honesty. By contrast, apparent "humility" can often be an affectation seeking to draw attention to achievements or importance, and burnish them with an air of modesty.
