    God kills all Egyptian firstborn children.
    Very, very unjust!!!!
    These Egyptian families had no idea about the conflict between Moses and Pharaoh.

    This is NOT a loving God.
    It's a freaking BS story.

    Is the God of the Old Testament fair and just?
    Then......at some point, we will fast forward to the answer of the crazy God, who was transformed into the "good God" of the New Testament.
    A brilliant makeover.

    Perhaps the story isn't true.

    The ancient Hebrews and the Jewish people contemporary with the life of Jesus put their faith in accounts of God which was written in old books. The followers of Christ 2000 years ago put their faith in Jesus. That’s the fundamental difference between dogmatic religious zealotry and a Christ orientated spirituality.

    The same thing is happening today with much of modern Christianity; a dogmatic zealotry and holy reverence given to and based on writings in ancient texts.

    @chaney3

    It's Epiphany that is celebrated today (in the Western Church; the Eastern Church celebrates it about two weeks later).

    Passover doesn't begin until Thursday, April 6th (at sundown). This year it just happens to fall right before Good Friday.
