'God is love'. -as a good as a statement to start with as any...

'God is love'
Because god in the old testament is not showing much love to the humanity. It's more about revenche and educate by punishment.
When is a total genocide (exept for 8 survivors) denoted 'love'? Did Hitler love jews?

"And now, glorify Me along with Yourself, Father, with the glory I had with you before the world was." (John 17:5)
For God's intrinsic nature to be divine love, He must have had love within His triune being from eternity. Love is His nature.

Like if you decide "'Love' is real" , then you have to wait(through thick and thin)and one day,you will know what "God is Love" REALLY means. Until then it is just human speculation.Worthy speculation, but speculation none the less.

Originally posted by FabianFnasNo its not sarcasm, but I can see the angle. Pain and torture are certainly not the first thing you think of when you think of 'Love' , but then again I think it depends on your perspective, and in my perspective, where there is no hell, everything that happens , happens for a reason. And that reason is evolution. (Note: I do not use the Darwinian version of the term 'evolution'😉
