@KellyJay saidRamsden showed a severe lack of cognitive and spiritual judgment when he defended the leader of RZIM against accusations of sexual abuse; going so far as to accuse those raising questions as trying to bring down the organisation.

Michael Ramsdem: speaks about love, he is one of my favorite speakers.
Is this not something which raises concerns about him in your mind?

@divegeester saidAll these organisations are run by frail and fallible people. Yet poeple hold these charismatic leaders in high regard almost idolising them. In this case the guy admitted that he committed acts of sexual misconduct, so Im not sure what was the point in defending them.

As for the opening post Jesus said all that needs to be said about the topic. No need for any lesser persons to speak on the matter.

@divegeester saidI don't know if these allegations of sexual abuse are true or not, and neither do you.

Why do you only see the negative side of everything?
@mchill saidThere were a large number of people from RZIM who came out and apologized for being deceived by Ravi, including Michael, Ravi fooled many. This doesn't make Michael any less than any more than when Judas betrayed Jesus, and all he fooled understood the man he was. It also didn't alter the truthfulness of those things Judas did and said that led people to Jesus, they didn't suddenly become false Christians because of Judas' failure as a disciple and a man.

The message doesn't change, it is Christ who is important and God uses broken people all of whom have flaws, there are no other kinds. This only points out where our eyes need to be on Jesus Christ because every single person who speaks for and against Christ is coming to the front with their flaws.
It will not be because of things we have done and said where we will stand and fall before God but what Jesus did.
From John 15
If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’
“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

@KellyJay saidFrom what I’ve read there was a lot more to it than people being “fooled”. There was evidence presented that witnesses to the abuse were intimidated.

@mchill saidWhen posters here present religious leaders as being someone special or having a special ministry I always research them and often I’ve found them to be abusers or embroiled in some kind of scandal.
Why do you only see the negative side of everything?
Perhaps if exercised the same due diligence you would find yourself less inclined to make silly comments like this one in replying to.
