No, Moore is willing to settle for Keynesianism, but indicates that he thinks Jesus himself was a socialist. Read the letter.
Are you comfortable with his insistence on this religious angle? I've seen him repeat this in several interviews (despite saying he doesn't like to bring it up, the fact is that he does) and, frankly, it makes him look a bit silly.

Uncomfortable? No...I also claim that Jesus was a socialist. Perhaps I am not understanding you correctly here.

It just seems a non-secular approach to politics, with Christian morality underpinning political change.

I don't base my whole life on what Michael Moore says. It is only a small fragment of my life. It just so happens that he is saying much the same thing as I have been saying for some time now. His wisdom is not mitigated by the fact that he is mortal.
EXACTLY! So base your life on Jesus Who Is Not mortal.

Yes, on a certain level it is. That will take you to the gates of the kingdom, but no farther.

The words of Socrates are still relevant to me today even though he is dead. The fact that Socrates is mortal does not lessen the impact of what he had to say. Besides, I think Jesus was a mortal and that he is just as dead as Socrates. Michael Moore, on the other hand, is still very much alive.

Jesus was human and died but He Is also God so therefore He lives forever.

He only lives forever in your memory. Enviable, but, not particularly useful.

No in Heaven.

Yes, heaven in your memory and imagination. That's fine mind you, but, again, does little for us in any practical way.

On a certain level? He's explicitly saying that Jesus would not want this type of affairs so we should change. If you believe in a secular government, then this doesn't seem very coherent.

Mr. Moore and myself both feel Jesus was a socialist, although the reasons for this and the conclusions we both draw from it may not be the same. If you haven't closely followed my insightful and dazzling theories on Jesus and the nature of god, and how they relate to the 21st century, then I'm sure you would be confused. Apparently the few people who have followed them are also confused. I doubt that Moore would adhere to much of what I have to say on the matter.

So you don't Believe in Heaven?

I was one of the judges. 😵

How is that relevant to what I said? I know it's different, but how does that detract from the fact he's promoting political change via religious belief? With what else would you accept compromise?

No thank you, I'm relatively intelligent and grounded in reality. Until some evidence arises to the contrary, heaven remains a fluffy little fairy tale to me.
