You may have noticed that that was followed by - "Maybe they're away?"

Wouldn't the idea that they might not be online make you refrain from accusing them of being "strangely quiet" in such a petty robbie carrobie kind of way?

We have Divegeester, for example, boldly claiming that the laws of God concerning slavery in the Pentateuch were "indefensible."

Who are the posters here who believe their righteousness, their morality, and their ethics are greater
then that of Jesus Christ ?

This is the place for you to confess that to all of us.
God told the Jews to stone adulterers to death.
Jesus told people not to do it.

Would you say that Jesus Christ thought he was more righteous than God?

Ops .. but then Jesus is God.
So Jesus thought he was more righteous than himself.

Or away,
Or maybe they're waiting for old FMF to do some preliminary comments.

Why "strangely" quiet? You mean 'they haven't posted yet'? What is 'strange' about it?

The person most qualified to condemn God of the OT was Jesus. He didn't.

Some here do.

Is your sense of moral rightness more righteous then Christ, who didn't condemn God?

Did Jesus fail to point out what you clearly see as God's evil?

Major contributors to thread "God Condoned Chattel Slavery" ?

He TOLD them that the one who is without sin among them should be the FIRST to throw a stone.

THEY decided, one by one, "I'm outta here!"

Read your Bible better.
Its in John chapter 8.

Did the law of Moses say anything about who is without sin. The fact is adulterers were stoned to death. It made no difference who was with sin or without sin.

Jesus changed a law made by God
Was Jesus more righteous than God? Why are you avoiding the same question you are asking people?

He didn’t change a law made by God because He didn’t tell them not to stone her. He introduced mercy into the equation (not to mention an objection to hypocrisy.)

By my timeline, you created this thread at midnight and asked this question at 2 in the morning. So I ask you sonship, was I strangely quiet,.....or was I perhaps fast asleep?!

Why you would include me in the OP question is beyond me. As an atheist, I will only ever view Jesus as another human being. Not only that, a human being I never met and only know about in a book I don't trust and certainly don't believe is divinely written. So basically you're asking me if I'm more righteous than a man I never met and know very little about. And even if the words in the gospels could be reliably attributed to him (which they can't) I still have no way of knowing if righteous living truly accompanied his righteous words. Or indeed, if he even existed as he is represented.
