@bigdoggproblem saidNot evangelicals. They claim Noah's flood was six thousand years ago; not the age of the earth. However, they think life on earth is around ten to 11 thousand years old. They also believe that the flood six thousand years ago is what killed off all the dinosaurs. So until six thousand years ago, there was all dinosaurs roaming the earth with man until then.
I world think it is mostly the non-scholarly that still believe the earth is only 6000 years old.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidYep. you bet! Ever clean fish and empty out their belly's? After about three days in the belly of a fish, everything it has eaten turns bright white. However, it is not near digested yet and still completely whole. Same as Jonah appeared to the Ninevite's when the whale (or large fish) puked him up close to shore.
And Jonah? (100% belief remember)
'Now the Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.'

So then, you do not think it's Noah's Ark. I'm not arguing for against, if it is, or is not. You may be correct. As far as the sails, anyone that's spent anytime boating or sailing etc; knows that one must either go into the wind, or directly follow the wind. Something this shape and size would capsize in any storm or heavy wind if it was just floating around.
Check this out. Actually the opposite is true. If the ark had pointed ends and not under power, that shape is incredibly unstable. A typical ship shape not under power is top heavy and will roll a tremendous amount.
@galveston75 saidI think you need to check out your own post or link. Why is it that Jehovah’s Witnesses always think they know everything and that they are the only ones who have everything right when it comes to God or His Holy word? You clearly know nothing and are just arguing to argue. Where did you get you Biblical degree? You're more dedicated to your man-made religion than you are to God.
