This worn-out old tag retains the following virtue: It foregrounds the cruelty of the solar economy that prevails on Earth in such a way as to shatter any comforting notions that one is comfortably coddled in the palm of the One. At the same time, it offers the eventual assurance of space travel.

Agreed?

This is "All things bind love."? Am I getting that right? Not sure about the rest of your post then.

Oh wait, "love conquers all"? or "all conquers love"? Still not sure about the rest of your post.

Haha. I guess both are right. Vincio means to bind (so Love binds all), whereas vinco is to conquer. But if you knew this was elegaic pentameter, you would know it would have to be vinco because vincio would give two long syllables. So in context, it really has to be Love conquers all.

Sorry, am a total classics grad.
