Christians defend the horrendous things God does in the Bible with "omniscience". Since humans can't know everything, what we do know (like stoning women for not being virgins is bad) is useless.

It's the perfect defense. We're wrong because humans can't know everything. God is right because he's allegedly "omniscient".

Killing the first-born sons of Egyptians including babies is wrong? Omniscience.
Threatening to send hardships including famine and rape if you disobey God? Omniscience.
Sending people to burn in hell for eternity just because you didn't believe or happened to be part of a different religion? Omniscience.
Creating horrendous parasites that cause the heads of other organisms to explode? Omniscience, according to Sonship.

It's the perfect defense. Why argue. Case closed.

From Deuteronomy 28:15 -68

Curses for Disobedience

15 However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you:

16 You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.

18 The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

19 You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.

20 The Lord will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him. 21 The Lord will plague you with diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish. 23 The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron. 24 The Lord will turn the rain of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed.

25 The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven, and you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms on earth

Your carcasses will be food for all the birds and the wild animals, and there will be no one to frighten them away. 27 The Lord will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and the itch, from which you cannot be cured. 28 The Lord will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind. 29 At midday you will grope about like a blind person in the dark. You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you.

30 You will be pledged to be married to a woman, but another will take her and rape her.

No one worships Eugenics. You worship a god that threatens rape, famine and boils.

In the New Testament in John 8, Jesus shocked the religious people who were about to stone the woman caught in adultery. He said whoever was without sin among them should throw the first stone.

Beginning from the oldest, who has lived and sinned the longest time, to the younger more intrepid ones, they ALL left one by one. The hatred for sin was established in the Old Testament. The grace which saves and forgives was revealed in the Gospel of John.

They would be executioners were convicted by their own consciences that they had no ground to judge. So ignorance is not an excuse always. God showed us what we need to know. "All have sinned. All have come short of the glory of God." All are in need forgiveness from the divinely hated sin and the justice due the transgressor.

Some people like to stop at something in Exodus long enough to pick up some handy reasonings to not receive further light from God.

In the case of God showing His hatred for sin and then latter showing His remedy, salvation, justification, and saving from that which He hates, we do not have to be ignorant. We are clearly told by example how the progressive revelation of God shines with increasing intensity.

In this case, God was rendering to the Egyptians what they had done to the Hebrews. You apparently forgot how a Pharaoh had had the new born Hebrew boys killed in his craftiness to subject them to perpetual slavery.

Moses (an Egyptian name) was ready to be slaughtered with the rest of the Israelite boys. He was hidden in the river on a little vessel. And he was rescued under God's sovereignty by Pharaoh's daughter.

The plan to exterminate the babies STARTED with Egypt.
The warning that the firstborn Egyptians would die was the 10th and [i]MOST[/b] severe plagues after 9 lesser ones for warning.

And they were given a WAY to avoid the judgment - place the blood of the Passover lamb on the doorpost and the judging angel would PASSOVER that house. And Egyptians which believed God and obeyed along with the Israelites, were sparred.

That is why it says that they people left Egypt as a "mixed multitude". Believing Egyptians were sparred by God's mercy.

Your slanders fall flat. And you show that you don't read the Bible with much clarity.

Find me a passage that says that.
Are you pro choice or vehemently pro life?

If you're pro - "abortion on demand" than everything you say against God is hypocritical. For millions of babies were killed and you sleep like peacefully at night thinking this is "freedom."

How come pro choice people so self righteously celebrate the holocaust of millions of human beings killed inside their mothers? Did you ever thank your mother that she didn't snuff out your life for convenience?

Seems like as long as YOU get born its ok to shut the door on millions of others?
Hypocrite.

Now explain to us all about the nobility of being pro-choice while you condemn God for returning justice on Egypt (AFTER ample warning) what they did to the Hebrew baby boys. Dance for us.

Well in fairness, God did harden the heart of the pharaoh so he ignored the warning, hey?

You cannot be this stupid and amoral. You think that going around murdering peoples first born for ethnic or sectarian reasons is somehow equatable with a women choosing to terminate her own pregnancy. That nasty patriarchal monster god of yours is rearing his head and bearing his bloodstained canines again. Have you considered a muzzle and lead.

God threatened to "curse" the "fruit of your womb". If you're pro-life, it's hypocritical to support this god.

And it still doesn't change that your god murdered the first-born for no reason than to show off. As Ghost mentioned, he deliberately hardened Pharaoh's heart so that Pharaoh *couldn't* relent and surrender to God.

That objectively makes God a monster, doesn't it?

How many thousands of years passed from the time of Moses to Jesus? How many women were stoned to death for no other reason than they didn't bleed while consummating the marriage? Not all virgins bleed their first time, meaning there were countless women stoned who were innocent of the "crime" of not being virgins

Your slanders fall flat. And you show that you don't read the Bible with much clarity.

What "slander"? Every single solitary thing I've said is factual. Look at the second post in this thread, where I posted God's threat for disobedience: those are objectively the words of a horrible person. Your own Bible supports what I've said.

If a murderer kills your child, are you then justified in murdering his child?

Should a judge or jury be able to punish a child-killer by having their own child killed?

Then why is it okay with your god?

God gave life to all. God has the authority to end a life.

Different lands have different laws.
The highest Judge is God.
And He has the highest authority.

He also has the most merciful plan of salvation.
He also is infallible in His knowledge of ALL of the circumstances.

In Exodus ten plagues were a warning and then the firstborn who were killed in all those (Hebrews AND Egyptians) who scoffed at God's directions to provide the blood of the Passover lamb. It was a strong type of Christ the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

God also had the Egyptians pay the enslaved Hebrews with valuable items - wages for 400 years of their forced free labor. God is just. God is also merciful with a plan of salvation.

You trash both God and His plan of salvation bragging to disown any God.
Its ungrateful and you're badly deceived by someone who is no friend of your soul.

The Devil doesn't want to be alone. In his eternal defeat he wants to drag you along with him in your co-rebellion - disowning that God is yours proudly.

You're saying then, that God can do whatever he wants. He can cause torture, murder, rape (like in that Deuteronomy verse), all of that is okay with you.

You've just proven you're worthless to debate. No reason to ever debate you, your responses will always resort to "well he made them, he can destroy them".

You are a hypocrite for ever objecting to abortion. The parents made that unborn life, right? Never again say a word about it. You have no right.
