There is nothing in the text to indicate that God told him to go an fight Goliath with his sling and stones.

David routinely used his sling to keep predators away from the sheep he stood guard over, so It's likely he had other plans for the other 4 stones that had nothing to do with Goliath.

if David was a chosen one of the Lord he would have only have had to pick up one stone as the Lord would have been with him.

David picked up five or six because he did not believe the Lord was with him so he wanted extra stones.




You don't know that for sure, and neither does anyone else except God and David.

As I pointed out to you above, there is nothing in the biblical text to indicate that God told David to go and confront Goliath nor to take sling and stones nor to kill him.

Where in the text does it say Goliath “saw two David’s” as you assert?

Where in the text does it say Goliath was a dumb soldier who could be easily killed by someone not intimidated by size ?
