Do you mean Jewish Orthodox, or Christian Orthodox doctrine?

Yes, we do read the Bible, but it is a lot different from the Catholic Bible.

Different? In what way? Do you mean the actual words are different, or the interpretation of the words are different?

I'm interested. Do you have any specific examples?

All of the Deuterocanonical/Apocrypha books - Baruch, Judith, Sirach, Tobit, Wisdom, and 1 and 2 Maccabees - plus Greek (LXX) portions of Daniel and Esther.

EDIT: The assumption here is that kat is talking about the Protestant Bible. There could be other versions I don't know about.

So, the ongoing argument that the bible hasn't 'changed' in 2000 years isn't accurate? That is to say, selective editing of entire chapter(s) by specific denominations is a regular occurence?

I wouldn't call it a "regular" occurence - but it has happened a once or twice.

If you have removed so much, then it merely says you don't respect God's word that much, and hence can't be trusted.

Especially if you removed any portion of Daniel, and especially his visions. And if you dared even think of modifying daniel 9 then you can all go to hell, because it has been fulfilled down to the last letter so far.
