we have the worlds oldest pancake race where i live. it dates back to 1445 the women of the village race to the church with a pancake in honor of a woman who was late for a shriving service. its good fun, there is a kids race as well (pancakes flying everywhere) it gets the whole community together, so reluctantly i will tip my hat to the church for giving us pancake day.

still no such thing as god though!!!!!

I did not say I don't care about pancakes. They can taste good with the right
syrup, but I don't set aside a day to worship them.

It's clear to me that you're not using the right syrup. Otherwise you'd see the light. You see, that 'syrup' has really been transubstantiated from some portion of Jesus. Although you probably shouldn't ask which part.

Its more likely to be a pagan festival hijacked by the christians like easter and christmas.

I think you're right. After all, pancakes are clearly confections inspired by the god Pan.

I was at IHOP the other day and I could have sworn my pancake was in the shape of the virgin Mary. Instead of eating it, I wrapped it up and took it home.

I will now start the bidding at $100.
