He tells people not to lie about Santa; instead, tell them about Christ.
In all seriousness, this kind of sad.

Honestly, who cares if Jesus is the reason for the holiday? People (generally) don't summon dead spirits or worship devils on Halloween, or discuss Pilgrims and Native Americans on Thanksgiving, remember the colonial war against England....etc., etc.
Honestly, if Jesus was the focus of the season rather than presents and decorations, Christmas wouldn't be any near as big as it is now. That's wny Easter is a much smaller holiday (even though many people don't focus on Jesus then either).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas
Saint Nicholas (15 March 270 – 6 December 343) was a historic 4th-century Christian saint and Greek Bishop of Myra in Asia Minor (modern-day Demre, Turkey). Because of the many miracles attributed to his intercession, he is also known as Nikolaos the Wonderworker. His reputation evolved among the faithful, as was common for early Christian saints, and his legendary habit of secret gift-giving gave rise to the traditional model of Santa Claus through Sinterklaas.
Secret gift-giving did not began with saint nicholas. It is a pagan custom for yule celebration, as are most of our modern traditions for this holiday. The holiday itself is pagan. The winter solstice and the turning wheel of time. Christianity co-opts or 'reforms' pagan traditions, this should not be news for you.
