Do you belong to one of the Christian sects which 'play God'? Here are the warning signs :

- they tell you that they can forgive your sins.

- they tell you that you are saved and will never lose your salvation no matter what you do.

- they ignore the essential teachings of Christ and the Apostles regarding works; even going so far as to say that good works offends God.

- they tell you that they can heal your physical ailments if you give generously to the church

- they require a fixed amount from your income every month.

- they claim they if they pray over you, you will receive blessing from God .. more money, more wealth etc.

- they babble in tongues .. usually gibberish that means nothing.

If you do belong to a church which practice any of the above, please share your experiences.

I think to be fair, it's important to appreciate the good work that is being done at many churches and congregations. The problem is that many of these things are done with very little fanfare and get very little media coverage. Humble people don't like to blow a trumpet every time they "give alms" so its easy to think someone is not doing any good works.

Good works are not to be boasted about. That we know.

I am referring to the wrong things practiced by many churches.

I know of many Pentecostal churches whose pastor is rich. He lives off the poor congregations faith in HIM not God but HIM.

Many churches are just plain evil. Christ knows who they are and he will judge them.

Probably where you live those things are not common.
