@sonship saidSame old, same old from the teachings of Satan. Read a little more than one phrase , MR Cherry Picker.
@Rajk999
You are a liar. The bible says no such thing....
Once a person has been saved, he may have both the assurance of salvation and the security of salvation. Once we are saved, we are saved forever.
Same old ... same old .... repetitive argument from the one note piano player.
What kind of redemption did Jesus obtain - temporary or eternal ...[text shortened]... once for all into the Holy of Holies, obtaining an eternal redemption." (Hebrews 9:12) [/b] [/quote]
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
(Hebrews 10:26-27 KJV)
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
(Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV)
Eternal redemption does not apply to all who just profess faith with their mouth.
@divegeester
Irrelvant comments.
Only what you want to put into the mouths of others .... is "relevant."
I understand your concept of relevant comments is.
If you didn't want my comments then don't mention my name in your OP, hypocrite.
An appeal to @sonship; or indeed anyone else who subscribes to his belief in this matter below...
@sonship saidYou started it. Dive asked a question and you decided to write about eternal redemption, which has no bearing on the question asked.
@Rajk999
Same old endless repetitive debate from the one note piano player.
Next year the same.
Year after that, the same.
Year after that, the same.
Always, the same.
@Rajk999
Okay, I did misunderstand your post. Got that everyone? I misread his post (unless he revised it). I just read it too quickly probably.
I refer to the keeping of the commandments of Christ which is critical to eternal life. You engage in vain babblings and janglings which as Paul said encourage people to disobey these commandments.
My apologies then.
What you are saying is not what I thought. This is a different lie.
You are instead saying that what I am teaching Paul said ...
I see now what you are saying.
Unless you change your post you successfully caught me misunderstanding what you wrote.
But your still wrong. I QUOTE Paul. I QUOTE the New Testament a lot.
And you are saying what I teach and quote are vain babblings which Paul said encouraged people to disobey the commandments of Christ.
This is insane.
But, miscomprehension of your sentence, I agree I made. Maybe I should list the top 10 favorite quotes from Paul's letters which I frequently employ.
You can explain how ANY of them or my treatment of them encourages people to disobey the commandments of Christ because they are vain babblings.
1.) "the last Adam became a life giving Spirit" (1 Cor. 15:45)
2.) "He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit" (1 Cor. 6:17)
3.) "It is no longer I that live, but it is Christ who lives in me." (Gal. 2:20)
4.) "For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's cultivated land, God's building." ( 1 Cor. 3:9)
5.) "For if we being enemies, were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more we will be saved in His life, having been reconciled." (Rom. 5:10)
6.) "For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace." (Rom. 8:6)
7.) The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God." (Rom. 8:16)
8.) "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you shall be saved." (Rom. 10:9)
9.) But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom to us from God: both righteousness and sanctification and redemption. (1 Cor. 1:30)
10.) Him who did not know sin He made sins on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." ( 2 Cor. 5:21
These are just a few of the verses from Paul which I find I often return to.
Which one I vain babbling?
Which one have I used to encourage anyone to disobey Christ's commands ?
@sonship saidWrong thread. Why cant you keep your posts int he correct threads.

You are a scatter brain. This thread is about Dives question pertaining to the doctrine of your Triune God, which you have failed to properly answer.
