Which get utilised in hegemonic forms by nation states......for exampl 'The meek shall inherit the earth' was used in the past to anesthetise the working class... more recently Islamic doctrine is used by terroists to anesthetise suicide bombers....

Full emancipation from religous ideologies will bring a freedom for the masses that will reduce state control, ergo religious belief is encouraged

urm.....wouldn't that be ontology, which is the study of being. So no I dont for a philosophy of existence would aim at emancipating humanity not controlling it with hegemony.

A belief in a another form of existence ie life after death, but you cant define religion in a forum, you would have to write a book to do that and even then it wouldn't be a definition in totality.

lets get back to the point 'relreligion is used to control....ie 'the meek shall inherit the earth' was used as an ideology to control the working class

Most of the religious don't want to be liberated from their beliefs. How do you propose we 'emancipate' people from religious belief?

Is religious motivation alone enough to explain the abuses of power that have taken place in, say, the past century?
