They recorded their evil deeds against man and God and the punishment
they received. What other ancient cultures recoreded their defeats as well

The charge of God in the Old Testament as merely a typical "tribal deity" is completely bogus. Those who happened to be God chosen people probably would wonder why He did not pick on someone else.

What we have is a God seeking to reach the whole world through His covenant with Abraham.

God could not get through with the created race. So after the Tower of Babel incident He initiated another race - the CALLED race. His intention was always to bless the total created race through the means of the faithfulness of the called race.

It was a BIG responsibility on the called race. And too many times this so-called "tribal deity" demonstrated that He was no respector of persons.

There are many more modern examples of pure evil, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Stalin, Mao, all were responsible for much more death than hitler. Mao's policies killed 33 million and so did Stalin's. Whole towns decimated when there was just a few dissidents. The 20th century was the bloodiest century in the history of mankind. So far century 21 is showing signs of being a lot better in that regard.

Hardly. Deaths are deaths no matter what the reason but religious killing can never be justified, I don't care WHAT your belief system is.
