I saw an interesting thing today as I went to a shopping mall. In front of the main entrance was a woman with a sandwich sign that read "I am a convicted shoplifter" on both sides. I was quite interested in talking to this woman, but decided not to. I imagine it was a case of "go humiliate yourself in public or do jail time."
I found it to be demeaning and a real downer for the Christmas spirit.
