I'll remember this time. I just need to realize this thread is for "sermons" only. The problem is I have a preconception of what a sermon is! I guess I need to broaden my view point.

"Broadened viewpoints" would be an excellent outcome for all who participate, dare I say, even for the judges.

Yes. It wouldn't hurt any of us to be a little more opened minded.
But of course some will interpret that to mean a compromise.
No one should ever compromise on what they believe to be true.

I say there does not have to be a winner. Why does there have to be? Why not just evaluate each sermon on their own merits?
