you could allways try marrying more than one woman, many OT kings of the holy land had many wives, but they sinned in other ways. god has no problem with sex just its the way we use it. god must have seen it all so gets no shocks, just disapointment with us. but remember to be careful what you wish for you may just get it

In the hindu tradition I believe sex should be regulated for the true seeker for every drop of semen is held to be sacred.
Thats why some of those eastern guys developed tantric sex, where you dont blow.
I guess when you are younger it is good to go and get it out of you.
There is no point in repressing sexual tendencies in the wrong way only to have disasterous results for when they do come out (again, your other thread is a good example).
I believe it should start with batting off. You should be able to stop that first.
Then sticking to one partner, and finally , after you have seen and tasted what the world can offer, and also , hopefully had a glimpse of the ultimate, the transcendent other worldly , you should be able to turn inwards and find the bliss of nirvana.
This is just an ideal, There will be many variants to this.

it has been portrayed as an act of self gratification rather than the emphasis being
placed upon giving.

i think i might actually agree with you about the self gratification. tabloid press, movies, pornography, lads mags, gossip mags all have a lot to answer for in their portrayal of sex and in particular women as purely sex objects.

Tell you what though. When your not married you felling guilty though with your thoughs but when you are married you don't.
God as my witness i waited to be married and it was worth the wait.
