I have often wondered why it is that the conservatives are called the “right” and the liberals are called the “left.”
By chance stumbled upon this verse in the Bible:
Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV) “The heart of the wise inclines to the right,
but the heart of the fool to the left.”

You are wrong. It dates back to the French Revolution and the positions the liberal and conservative factions were seated in during parliament. By the way, Jesus was clearly a leftist. Where does that leave you?

What about his other social policies? Very leftist, I think rwingett did a little thread trying to prove Jesus as a socialist a while back π

How about if you had an 18 year old daughter who was a victim of date rape? How about to save the life of the mother?

Jesus would be in the middle. He is nither right nor left.uo
Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)
“The heart of the wise inclines to the right,
but the heart of the fool to the left.”

The source of your OP is neither here nor there. Please reread my post and address the questions. I'm interested in what you think about it now.

Jesus is wise. But he is not a fool. The world my think he is a fool. But he is not a fool. The Bible has a def. for the fool found is the Psalms.
You started with the following:
Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)
“The heart of the wise inclines to the right,
but the heart of the fool to the left.”
You followed that with this statement:
Jesus would be in the middle. He is nither right nor left.
You say that Jesus "would be in the middle...neither right nor left".
So if you believe that Ecclesiastes 10:2 applies, then Jesus would be in the middle between being "wise" and a "fool".
So once again:
Is it your contention that Jesus is a balance of being "wise" and a "fool"? Or do you now recognize that taking the verse you cited and applying it to modern day political jargon is not "so true"?
