ILLUSION.
Vedanta explains truth as: “ Reality distinguished from illusion for the benefit of mankind”…. so what is illusion, it is untruth accepted as truth.
The self is spiritual and eternal, and characterized by consciousness, awareness, free will, desire, identity and creative potency.
The illusion of most people is that the self is this material body, and that the body operates under its own volition, but this is false and an illusion..
In mental hospitals all around the country we see people standing in the hallways with their hand in their shirt claiming that they are Napoleon…. they are clearly under illusion, so what’s the difference for the entire population who thinks there the rotting material body…it’s the same illusion.
The belief that the entire universe exists and operates as it does without its Spiritual counterpart is false, because material energy of earth, fire, water, air, and ether cannot become animate without the spiritual directive, so this belief is false and an illusion.
The directive of the Spiritual Creative Potency of God has manifested this entire material cosmos, and atheist’s belief that it has come about by its own volition, which is clearly false and an illusion.
Many people believe that all the species including man have come about by accident, when dead matter came magically to life, but this is false and therefore an illusion.
Accepting these illusions as true supports atheism, and atheism is a direct cause of the out of control material consumerism, and atheism creates the violent world that we find ourselves in.
People of the Christian, Islamic and Judaism faith believe that the soul is created at birth, and that a person only has one life, but this is false and an illusion, they also believe that at the end of that one life there is hell for the person who doesn’t subscribe to their faith.
Any religion that supports animal slaughter and meat eating, supports false teachings and therefore supports illusion.....so if religious people are under illusion then they are practically atheists themselves.
What happens when the entire world is living under the spell of all this illusion…well we end up with a world like we have at present, with war, racism poverty, corruption, greed and unhappiness and depression and sickness.
If people where not living under illusion, then the world would be different and people would be happy to follow Vedic principles and live towards raising their consciousness in truth, and the ultimate goal of life love of God would be achieved, bringing and end to war, racism, poverty, greed, corruption and unhappiness.
