The song lyric is a first-person confessional/heart-to-heart monologue so it simply couldn't be done without words like "I" and "my" etc.

No wonder it resonates with divegeester.

I'll accept that.

2 Corinthians 3:4-6
And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Not that any of that would resonate with you.

If God called me to a position in the church to teach, then "they" couldn't stop me.

What a pity you're so biblically ignorant. And there's no wonder why. You have positioned yourself outside the "church" by questioning the inerrancy, infallibility and immutability of the scriptures as though your word is above the authority of the word of God.

Too bad you had to make a public spectacle of yourself in the process.

You always make your faith sound like it's something akin to diehard love for a particular sports team which manifests itself in churlish braying and trash talk.

Tell that to divegeester.

I see divegeester as a robust dissenter who cops a fair bit of flak for it. Meanwhile, I see you as a kind of empty, small, disinhibited man who swerves between religious duckspeak and feeble banter.
