@chaney3 saidPoint being: God could have ridden the world of Satan before he deceived Eve, but God didn't. So either:
For some reason, God is allowing Satan to rule the earth. It started with Eve, then Judas, then Peter.
It appears that God requires Satan to interfere with humans.
God didn't have the power.
God wants Satan messing with humanity.

-Removed-It's odd, because God could have ridden the world of Satan before the garden, but didn't.
Now all this talk about when Satan will be defeated seems bogus. As I said, either God cannot defeat Satan now, or He wants Satan to torment us.
Frankly, both scenarios make God look bad.

@chaney3 saidGoing by the book of Job, the God character allows Satan to ruin a man's life [including killing his family] just to win a bet.

Assuming consistency of character in all the books, God has no problem letting Satan run amok.

@bigdogg saidYes, the story of Job is alarming. Too many religious people want to focus on the apparent faith of Job, while somehow ignoring that God allowed such brutal events to occur. God is even quoted saying to Satan "have you considered Job"?.
