Go find out for yourself. Use the search engine at www.ministrybooks.org and see if the hits on "city of water" gives you the answer you are inquisitive about.
So you are not willing to say whether "The City of Water" is a metaphor that you have coined or whether you have lifted it from someone else's writing?

@FMF

I didn't invent the phrase "City of water".

That being dealt with now, to a more interesting point:

What is your vision of the ultimate climax of human history?
I talk about the Bible's prophetic vision of "New Jerusalem" .

What do you offer as a more realistic alternative as an atheist ?
No particular need to footnote your ideas with citations.
Just tell us what you think.

@divegeester

If they were sonship’s “own” metaphors, there would at least be some minor credit for imagination.

Sonship didn't invent the phrase "City of water."

What I asked FMF I would also ask you.
As a Unitarian then what is YOUR take on the climax of human history?
Give us your alternative expectation to my "City of water" - New Jerusalem of Revelation 21,22.

What do you see mankind coming to as a climax ?
And you don't need to wait for FMF. You can go first since you're a theist.

I don't know.

What is your expectation of the end of the ages as a climax to human life and existence ?
What is your expected grand finale of the world history ?

What "ultimate climax of human history"?

No ideas?

Where is human history going in your philosophy?

Your knowledge of prophetic climax of mankind does not guarantee that you will witness or participate in these events. There are people who you have condemned to eternal torment who are likely to see it before you. and you are likely to be facing the eternal torment

I don't have any "expectations" about notions that your imagination and religious zealotry happens to be dwelling on.

What "grand finale"?

What "climax"?

Its your turn to talk. We know you don't like me to use "City of water" without citing where I got the phrase.
We got that.

Where now do you think the process of ever changing eras are moving towards?

Do you see your just society coming finally into realization someday?

Have you no hopes or expectations for outcomes of evolution or technology or anything?

I don't know.
When you say you "don't know", on reflection, would you concede that saying that was a falsehood?

Divegeesster, where does you Unitarian theology see as a final conclusion of your God's work ?
Come on in, the water's fine.

You don't need atheist FMF to clue you.
