On the one hand he takes away from the truth, and on the other he adds to it.
Ever notice how people are the same way sometimes?
In this forum I've seen Christians post consistently in favor of a literal interpretation of the Bible with the view that it is infallible, immutable, inerrant and inspired of God. Other than some nonessential differences they are in agreement.
Then there's that number of posters that range from being in total denial of the existence of God to those having ideas about the Bible they've learned from alleged scholars and teachers that question the authenticity and veracity of the Bible.
In that number we find the devil's hands hard at work making a lie of the truth. The tools he uses are words through which he twists out confusion through mischaracterizations, accusations and misrepresentations. Among other things.
I'm disappointed somewhat in the Christians here though. On the one hand each is founded solidly in the truth of God's Word, but on the other are isolated and detached from being on a united front in participation in debate in various threads as I see the others do, who comfortably engage in casual banter with each other, usually at the expense of some lone Christian.
Bottom line? This place just ain't worth the effort.
@secondson saidvery cool

the last line is the best
@secondson saidThis was josephw's parting shot too, I seem to recall.

You are who you are. Everyone here is who he or she is. Lamenting the fact in a self-righteous hand-waving way is not worth the effort.
Come back soon.
@secondson saidIt is never about the place, but the sacrifice made for those in it.

@fmf saidThat's a bit of over dramatizing I'd say.

Didn't exactly say I was leaving. I'm here to the bitter end. 🤦♂️🙂
@divegeester
Hummm, I wonder why? I would guess there is probably someone here that continually takes away the possible joy that could be here if they weren't. Yep I'd say that would be the case...
