Actually this type of statement regarding dinosaurs detracts from the Biblical message and makes it sound unreasonable. Its essentially based on the false premise that the creative days were a fixed period of time. Not a Biblical teaching.

I don't know what is official I know what my own understanding is though, the fact that Paul mentions of still being in Gods rest 'day' thousands of years later demonstrates that the 'days', mentioned in the book of Genesis are of an unspecified duration. We are still in Gods rest 'day'.
