The book is at least symptomatic of renewed public interest in matters that the spiritual establishment has sidelined or ignored (feminine sexuality, Mary Magdalene's Gospel), however dubious or sensational Mr Brown's treatment of them.

I bought a copy of the book (something i lamented after reading it), on the first page, it says: FACT- All information portrayed in this novel is true.
I'm assuming that that excerpt from the book must be his most sublime work of fiction.
Also, most fictional books require a high level of research. I was just pointing out that Dan Brown doesn't do this or just isn't good at it.
