they are all creations of man.

there is a Heavenly Being.

your man-made religions know nothing of this Being.

Look everyone, another man made religion.

@whodey

a human thought is not necessarily the well-spring of a religion.

an observation is also not the well-spring of a religion.

a post though can be the well-spring of a fool.

If the "illusion" of proceeding to everlasting life in some other dimension gives solace and purpose in life, I think - in and of itself - it can be positive and do no harm. If it means people live their lives in what I see as being morally sound ways, then I welcome it.

It is OK.

In spite of all the humans that have tried and failed to see the truth - you are the one who has gotten it right.

May the odds ever be in your favor.

+1 just for the Hunger Games quote.

If God were alone, if there were no sentient beings in the universe, God would not create religion, for God has no need of it.

Heavenly Father created beings so that He could experience being loved. it takes two to create this moment. it requires free will to achieve this moment. without a second entitiy(ties) Heavenly Father could create love but could not experience it.
Hence, Heavenly Father created the "other", which is all else
that is not the original Heavenly Father, and in part of the
"other" He put a small part of himself so that the "other" would
have the desire to return to the whole if their free will, or agency,
was used to do so.

this is the Rosicrucian explanation as to why something other
than the Cosmic exists and not the Cosmic per se alone.

What mankind calls God or Heavenly Father, etc., is known to
the Rosicrucians as the Cosmic. It is not God as mankind interprets it but is greater and beyond the definitions of mankind.

In other words, humanity is God playing hide-and-seek with Himself.

@moonbus

yes, you have part of it. i don't know the other part.

but, then, we see "thru a glass darkly".

the principle though is that the Cosmic seeks to experience love.

when you read about near-death experience you find that this is
the central purpose of all life.

A grave error in logic and reason.

That assumption presumes that there was, and is, something lacking in God's nature. Your assertion assumes that God needed to create man to fulfill Himself. Nothing could be further from the truth.

@SecondSon

you should be happy in the church that paul created and the catholic church re-structured.

why bother with anything else or anyone else.

it should be quite enough for you.
