Acts 9:26–27
Paul wrote half of the New Testament, after being a freakin' nightmare
for the persecuted Christians. But Paul would not have even made it if
it was not for Barnabas.
When Paul tried to approach the apostles they were, obviously, kind of
uncool about the idea of hanging out with a dude who weeks before was
chopping Christian heads off.
But Barnabas stood up for the guy. He felt in his spirit to believe that
Paul (formerly known as "Saul" ) was not a player anymore, but that he
had turned his heart towards Jesus. And he took the risk of interceding
for him with his crew.
Who remembers Barnabas today? Few. But let me tell you something:
Paul would tell you that, right after Jesus, the coolest dude is Barnabas
because he was a true friend.
Be like Barnabas today. Intercede for someone to succeed in life.
