Every time I think you can't be more of a tool, you prove me wrong.

You find those spellings in the original documents I'll give you a pound.

The problem is that we no longer have the originals. What we have now are all copies. They apparently did not think about preserving the orignals by storing them away, so that no one could handle them, until after it was too late.

The Instructor
And do any of the earliest copies have English spellings in them?

The earliest copies are in Greek, however they have been translated and transliterated into many languages.

And the earth did shake violently and the ground split.
And lo! All the original documents were lost in the
lake of fire that did emerge from all the shaking.
The mountains were thrown down into the sea
and did melt in the great lava flow which also ate
up the sacred texts that were no longer to be found.
So beware! False prophets will come among you after
all the shaking has stopped and shall lie to you about new
translations which shall be found with names and events
that never existed before the great shaking.
