Is the Pope the Earthly spokeman for God, or something else?
Originally posted by RBHILLSo by the same logic wouldnt it be possible for your God to corrupt the minds of people and would that then make s/he evil, or do you still put that down to "free will"? Is only Satan capable of corrupting minds or influencing free will?
No, People still have free will.
It is satan that corrupts the minds of people like So dumb and mr. Binny Laden.

That does not mean, however, that he is a "spokesman" for God in the same way that (say) a Prophet is; or that God does not speak to the world directly or indirectly through other channels. Nor does it mean that everything the Pope does is "speaking for God". Does that answer your question?
I mean does this person speak for god on Earth or is s/he just another person who believes?
