In my experience people claiming to be a member of a religion are on average just as honest/disonest (or evil or not) as any other person. And some of the more vocal Christians I have met have been some of the most dishonest and selfish people I know. (I should also note that some of the most giving people I know have also been Christian - Catholic Brothers especially)
I have also met someone who implied that if she did not believe in God then it would free her to be a bad person and for that reason she would maintain her belief.

Every time I see Dawkins ....Dr Who comes to mind for some reason....😕
