WORSE and WORST are both adjectives. The former means less good; the latter means most bad. Looking at the context of this thread, I'm inclined to think that joseph meant to discuss the thing that is most bad about himself, as opposed to just less good. Therefore, perhaps the word 'worst' should be adopted here. But then again, like I said, English isn't my first language!
