You mean the wonderful and fabulous story thread.
Tell me, if this beloved warrior of yours took a woman against her will in your own country of Australia, how long would it take for that warrior to be slapped in jail?

Tell me, did you know the verse is about a story about Kshatriyas.

And a story that has not been translated correctly.

Are you forgetting the part where you posted an alleged better translation of the same verse? You know, the one that STILL sounded like rape?

robbie carrobie might be along soon to help you. He has some "comedy" routines he slots into when the subject of rape comes up. 😕
What about this comedy routine that shows us all that every two seconds in the world, a Muslims murders or tortures or rapes or kidnaps or stones a women or child to death, in the name of Islam.

This routine is played out every day on the World News. (please tune in)

I did not go out of my way to procure that translation, but it was just on my web-page after I logged onto a particular site.

This is why I posted it up.

It was just another view point.

There are another 4 different translations out there somewhere.

But you yourself said that was the correct translation. So now you are backtracking on that statement?

How can there be so many translations for something which you said yesterday did not exist?

You really haven't thought this through little sparrow.

It is correct compared to your translation

It,s a matter of degree.

Here is your own translation. What degree of abhorrent is it exactly?

'She is the best of women whose garments are pure. Therefore let him approach a woman whose garments are pure, and whose fame is pure, and address her. If she do not give in, let him, as he likes, bribe her (with presents). And if she then do not give in, let him, as he likes, beat her with a stick or with his hand, and overcome her, saying: 'With manly strength and glory I take away thy glory,'--and thus she becomes inglorious. If she give in, he says: 'With manly strength and glory I give thee glory,'--and thus they both become glorious."
