I have had may condesending remarks (people sayin bad things) about me posting things here. Maybe this can/will help you to understand why I continue to post, my brother put it better than I could

In Salt Lake City, a young man, just before leaving
on his mission stood in a meeting and gave, in
    essence, the following testimony:

Brothers and Sisters, as you know, the past two
weeks I've been waiting for my mission call. During
the time I was waiting I had a dream. I knew it was
not an ordinary dream. I dreamed I was in the pre-
existence and awaiting my call to come to earth. I
was filled with the same anticipation and excitement
that I had before I received my mission call. In my
dream I was talking to a friend, and I felt a special
closeness to him, even though I've never met him in
this life. As we talked a messenger came and gave
me a letter. I knew it was my call to go to earth. In
great excitement my friend and I opened the letter. I
gave it to him and asked him to read it aloud. It said:
"You've been called to earth in a special time and to
a special land. You will be born to the true church
and you will have the priesthood of God in your
home. You will born into a land of plenty, in a land of
freedom. You will go to earth in the United States of
    America."

My friend and I rejoiced as we read my call, and
while we were rejoicing the messenger returned.
This time he had a letter for my friend. We knew it
was his call to earth. My friend gave me the letter to
read aloud. His letter said: "You've been called to go
to the earth in circumstances of poverty and strife.
You will not be raised in the true church. Many
hardships will attend your life. Your land will be
fraught with political and social difficulties - which will
hinder the work of the Lord. You will be born in
    Costa Rica."

We wept, my friend and I, as we read his call. And
my friend looked at me with tears in his eyes, and
said, "When we are down on earth, you in your
choice land and me in Costa Rica, my friend, please
    come and find me."

The this young missionary, with tears in his eyes,
said, "Brothers and Sisters, I have received my
mission call. I am going to Costa Rica."

There is a sequel to the story. About a year after the
sacrament meeting, the bishop received a letter from
the missionary in Costa Rica. The letter had one
sheet of paper in it and on that sheet written in
    capital letters were four words:

Even in the true church, false teachings can arise, so don't be complacent in thinking you are being taught the whole truth and nothing but the truth. 😏

Do you seriously think people "hate" Lloyd E Adkins for his spammy, plagiarized OPs and unwillingness to engage in any dialogue? It's going to get to the point, robbie, where the words "hate" and "hater" and "hatred" will mean absolutely nothing when you use them - that is to say, if it hasn't happened already.

Don't you think robbie and galveston , and indeed Lloyd seek out to be "hated" in order to reaffirm their position of specialness in the world - hated for "god's" sake because we are the ....ones.

robbie goes on and on and on about hate hated haters and yet feels no compunction in throwing ad hominem attacks and accusing people of being apostates and fakes.

    It is a curious hypocrisy.

haters gonna hate does not mean they actually hate, swiss gambit posted a text on what it actually means and its etymology. Please educate yourself, it may just save you from posting similar distorted and biased texts, but I doubt it.

It's not just "haters are gonna hate", robbie. It's "haters" and "hatred" and "hate" and all the rest. Hardly anyone here plays the Hate Card at all. You sometimes play it several times on the same thread or even several times on the same day. I don't think it reflects well upon you.

I'm not anti-theism. The typical believer does not post about their beliefs and they make good friends, family, and neighbors. They are empathic and care about right and wrong, good and bad.

Some of those who do post are trying to learn, and they will do so, soon to re-examine their beliefs.

But there is a large group of haters who use the Bible or the Koran or whatever in order to justify their hatred. From the holocaust to the inquisition to the witch-burnings to the KKK, religion is needed by the haters.

I don't think there's any harm in Lloyd.

I certainly don't hate him. I don't hate anybody on here.

But I think he is just misguided.

He means well, but I don't accept his message
because I think quite simply it's a load of baloney.

I have said it before many times, Facts are what matter.

    Facts which cannot be denied.

Superstition and religion are not facts.

A good testimony would be of someone being set free of drug addiction of over 30 years.
