@thinkofone saidJesus was a socialist. He preached it and the early church practiced it.:
The "Christian right" have little regard for the words spoken by Jesus while He walked the Earth as evidenced by their attitudes toward both the poor and the wealthy. They clearly have "wealth" as their master.
Matthew 6
19“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20“But store up for you ...[text shortened]... for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
(Acts 4:33-35 KJV)
Those who follow these principles of giving and sharing to the needy will enter the Kingdom of God. Those selfish greedy Christians who read the teachings of Christ and ignore them [and they are being clearly identified in this thread], will be cast out of the Kingdom of God, as Matt 25 clearly states.
@rajk999 saidWhere did Jesus say governments should do this? Where did Jesus say all people should do this?

@rajk999 saidIt's just as Jesus repeatedly warned. They don't hear what Jesus is saying.

John 5
25“Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.
28“Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, 29and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.
