That is not exactly what the question is about.
Sorry, incorrect. Study a little and try again.
It is funny to people who have read any Douglas Adams.

Never heard of him.

A scientist wouldn't even attempt to isolate life, because he/she will know it is completely pointless. "Life" is a property distributed across a biological system. It is a combination of many complex evolved chemical reactions working together. Likewise for "mind" in the brain.

It would be like trying to take apart a computer to isolate its software.
You almost got it, but you are leaving a very important point out.
The source. Read the post on the subject by josephw. Especially
the last part.

Yes, the post was generalising. Something wrong with that?

The truth is plain to see even in this forum. Any mention of what the Bible says sets you folks off. Especially what is said about judgement and the lake of fire.

But it works both ways I'm sad to say. I'm no better than you.
The 'holier-than-thou' smugness of your previous post was quite evident, and it is to this that I was referring regards the pat on the back.

As for generalising, yes there is something wrong with that. Some supposed christians are mass murderers, some are thieves, some are saintly. It is the same with hindus, the same with welshmen, the same with left-handed people, the same with any grouping of humanity you care to name. Some, believe it or not, are quite capable of handling any concept you care to imagine without becoming 'freaked out' or being swayed by the 'obvious' arguments for the existence of god.

Your faith teaches humility, does it not? This is a valuable trait for any human being to develop regardless of his belief system. And you know, to say that you are 'sad' to admit that you are no better than I doesn't come across as particularly humble.

Because your views are so inane that patting yourself in the back is the only way to reassure yourself about your own opinions.

He is the only one that had the correct opinion. I would pat him on
the back if I could. But as it is, he'll have to do it himself. But I
give the rest of you a failing mark. Your jealousy shows forth.

What does Jesus say about you judging others?

Jesus is the Supreme Judge of all. We elect judges to judge others on
civil and criminal matters while we are on earth. We have teachers to
judge how well our children are doing in school. Our boss must judge
how well we do our job. Or if you are the Boss you will be the judge.
But in the world to come, Jesus wil be judge of all.

What I mean, is you, not being a Christian, seem to be going far beyond
your capability to judge the motives of one who is a Christian. How can
you know his thoughts or his actions, since you can't see him or understand
him.

Not that it has anything to do with you, but nowhere in my post do I attempt to judge his motives or actions or imply that I know or understand his thoughts. May I suggest you re-read his original post and my reply, and in future try to get a grip on the context and meaning of a message before wading in with unwarranted or inaccurate criticism?
