I don't think your logic is very sound here. The criminal justice system in the UK is creaking a bit under the pressure of the virus, but it's a long, long way from failure.

What does that have to do with it? Sounds like the lame excuses politicians make. They blame everything on the Corona virus ... lol 😀

It has slowed the process down considerably and led to a significant backlog, particularly in less serious cases.

Lol 😀. At the other end of the honesty spectrum I would say that teachers, civil servants and farmers might top the list. So maybe you are in that group.
