1 John 5:19 says, ".. the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." Luke 4:5,6 says, "So he (Satan) brought him (Jesus) up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time. Then the Devil said to him (Jesus): "I will give you all this authority and their glory, because it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish."
So whoever said Satan is correct and now we know why the world is in the mess it is.
The Bible also says at 1 John 3:8, "For this purpose the Son of God was made manifest, to break up the works of the Devil."
So there is hope for us yet!

Jesus gave us the solution at Matthew 6;10. He said we should pray for God's Kingdom to come. If we look at all the wonderful conditions God has promised to bring through that Kingdom, we can see it is the solution to all of mankind's problems. The question has always been, when will it come?
The Bible chronology indicates that God's Kingdom has already begun ruling in Heaven. (see Revelation 12:7-12) Now we are in the time foretold at Psalms 2:1-12. Soon we will see the destruction of this unsuccessful system of things and the unopposed rule in full power of God's son Christ Jesus.
