yes, there are no rules, it seems to me like the bible is way too biased, and lucifer just wanted to do his own thing but god's philosophy is "if youre not w/ me, youre against me" which sucks for lucifer but i dont think his intentions were bad when he left

So basically you think that when you die and if you go to hell that it's one big party?
The devil is representative of all the harmful things that are in human nature. He is appealing because it is in peoples nature to do terrible things sometime. There are different definitions of terrible though. To some people porn is something of the devil but to many people it's just a way to fall asleep late at night😉 But we can all agree that murder is terrible and the devil represents this extreme too.
My point is that it is in human nature to do some terrible things and inevitably people do them. The devil just represents the darker part of human nature.
These are just some of the great western (judeo-greco-christian) binary oppositions that, I think, come out of the two worlds philosophy we find embodied in Plato.
Another opposition that fits very well in this schema is soul/body. Plato and Christianity both prioritize the soul which seems to put the body on the same side as hell. This is indicated by the medieval practic of self-flagilation (sp) and the prohibition of various sexual acts.
If you except this set up, I would say that the devil and hell are appealing, at least in part, because the are sexy. The devil/hell seduces in the same way that a lover would, by inticing us with sensual pleasure. The devil is appealing because he lets us have and enjoy our bodies.
...just a thought. I'm far from an expert theologin.

I think you got it right.
