I am not so sure why people get up in arms as to the world "ending". After all, our lives are so short as it is, even if the world lasted another billion years as it is now the world would still be ending soon for us on a personal level.

So what makes you say it is ending soon?

My father and I used to talk about the end of the world once in a while and he said what if you were asleep when the nuclear bombs dropped and you were in the zone where you got vaporized instantly? Your world would end the same as everyone else but you wouldn`t know it. Would you go through the afterlife angry that you didn`t see the mushroom clouds?
