I am a member of a CBF (cooperative Baptist fellowship) church, not an SBC (southern Baptist convention) church. CBF churches are different from your outlook on the "Baptist mainstream"...

    You are correct. My church has dual alliance with CBF so I am aware of the differences. I simply offer a "stereotypical" picture that most Baptist churches don't want to look at. I went to a Baptist seminary that at the time had as their slogan "We're out to change the world." This was the "liberal" seminary at the time and even they got into their own brand of grandiosity.
