It is sad to hear that such a talented guy like that gets shot and killed on New Year's Eve! I feel sorry for his family and the Broncos organization! Just a sad story!

It's no sadder than anyone else who was murdered that night.

In Scarborough (outside Toronto), one woman was shot to death at point blank range on her front porch.

    Handguns. Why aren't they illegal?

Because amendment rights protect the right to bear arms!

But then again, your Canadian aren't you darv? So amendment rights don't apply to you if you are!

    That right should be revoked.

    This isn't the 1800's anymore.

It doesn't matter, it is a basic right that was guaranteed to the people! If that hadn't been in the Constitution, there wouldn't be an America today!

They are illegal in Toronto. Ban handguns and only outlaws will own them. This is a prime example.

Guns don't kill people, humans do.

Back to the original point of the thread... RIP! According to everyone on his team he was a great father and a passionate player. It's always tragic to see someone with a family cut down at a young age. Best wishes to his kin, and a peaceful passage to the other side.

Well said, did you see the highlights on ESPN about his teammates talking! John Lynch was in tears!
